Easter Monday midnight: The Good Death
The mystical Gregorian chants, the music and the incense are all carried upward. This brotherhood, founded in 1975, carries in procession the image of the Christ of the Good Death sculptured by Juan Ruiz de Zumeta and which is worshipped in the church of Saint Vincent the Martyr.
The penitent feet of the brotherhood of the Most Holy Christ of the Good Death descend the hill over the flagstones and the pebbles, the night trembling with emotion. The magnificent wooden sculpture of the Good Death is carried through the strets in this original position. The hands, though nailed to the cross, seem to stroke the faces of the onlookers.
